1990s Oris Regulator 7473 - Automatic Movement
This exquisite Oris 7473 is a regulator, which means the hours, minutes and seconds hands are all non-coaxial. Each hand is on its own, fixed to and rotating about a different point, rather than each hand being fixed to and rotating about the same point. The design originated from "regulator clocks" - highly precise timepieces used in watchmaking workshops during the 18th and 19th centuries to regulate other timepieces. Okay enough about regulators - this 7473 has a stunning guilloche dial with hold trim gold trimmed hands and matching indices. Date function at 6 o clock(best spot in my opinion). Paired on a brown leather band with the original buckle. The automatic 649 Oris caliber holds time as it should and all functions operate. Happy to answer any questions and provide more pictures!
