1990s Oris Pointer Date "Tank" B7460 - Oris 654 automatic movement

I could honestly talk about this piece all day. Starting with the obvious - the pointer date function, which we all know and love. It adds so much character to a watch and really elevates the elegance. The blue chemin de fer running around the dial gives it that gorgeous vintage feel, which only adds to the overall aesthetic of a rectangular, tank style case.

What always catches me off guard about these B7460s is the dial. It has this almost linen-like texture that's difficult to put into words. Depending on the light, you can see these tiny lines almost dancing across the surface. The blue Arabic numerals create a beautiful contrast against that warm, creamy dial.

Then flipping it over, the caseback has this slight arch to it, so it sits flush against the wrist and feels natural. It's something Oris has always emphasized on their caseback shape watches. Its on a thin lizard leather band with the original buckle. Powered by the automatic Oris cal. 654. Holds time accurately and all functions work as they should.
