1990s Oris Big Crown Diver 7502- Automatic Movement
Before the Divers 65 and the Aquis' was even a thought, there was the 7502. They were produced in the late 90s and very early 2000s for a short period of time.
It's an interesting piece - and somehow it all works so well. While it does have the classic Diver DNA - the minute scale on the bezel and the large broad hands - but then you have this big beefy crown that gives it a field watch energy. Add in the slick black dial with minimal concaves on the case and the popping orange hand gives it a sporty look. All of these elements add up to such an "all arounder" watch.
Personally, as most of you know I'm not really a "Diver" style watch person but i have been absolutely obsessed with this one. It's the crisp and satisfying rotating bezel, the lume that can guide ships to the shore and just the comfortability of the bracelet on the wrist. Whatever it is, safe to say the 7502 has become my unexpected obsession. It does have a screw down crown and powered by the Automatic Oris modified ETA-2824 that holds time accurately.
