1970s Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 166.0130 - Automatic Cal. 1012 - Freshly Serviced
Another lovely Space Era piece from Omega. These Cosmic 2000s have a very interesting case design. It's (kind of) a monocoque case design in which the internal assembly - caseback, movement, dial, and the crystal is seated within a a sleeve and then pressed into the outer monocoque shell. Then Omega put bunch of gaskets in between to deliver a high level of water resistance. Pretty cool, this is when brands thought outside of the box still.
This Cosmic 2000 has the C shape case, It's in original, unpolished condition.. Sporting a lightly brushed silver dial. Clean baton indices with a date window at 3. It's powered by the automatic Omega caliber 1012, that has been freshly serviced. It will come with the aftermarket bracelet and the band and a tool to swap between them. I couldn't decide which one looked better, so you'll get both. Happy to answer any questions and provide more pictures!
